The Garden Series: A Peek Behind the Curtains of Ivory Sheep’s Next Collection

Ivory Sheep has been working away on collection N.4. This collection is going to launch differently from previous ones. The collection is going to be split up into 3 micro drops, each drop being ready to ship! Let’s talk about each micro drop from the Garden Series.

Sacred Gardens:

The first to launch in our Garden series is inspired by the ceiling fresco Camillus in battle while Romulus pleads with Jove by Marino Rossi located in Villa Borghese. This painting to us depicts the part the universe plays in each of our lives whether that be in divine intervention or protection. This image feels incredibly sacred and divine, and with this we created a custom print that we wanted to print on dresses that felt incredibly delicate and angelic. Sacred Gardens is meant to feel ethereal and almost goddess like. We carefully selected the fabrics, the designs, the colors and tones, and the finest of details that would bring each dress to life while complimenting the original artwork.

Empty Gardens:

This drop in our garden series was inspired by multiple things, one of them being a song called Empty Gardens by Eidola. The feature print of this micro drop carefully constructed to display various forms of texture, and if you look beyond the beautiful ivory florals, you will see a subtle background of peeling paint. This floral print is incredibly detailed, but if you really study it; it almost suggests a feel of abandonment, as if it’s a picture you would stumble upon in an abandoned garden. The pieces of this collection were meant to feel beyond their years; each color and design was made in a way that it is meant to reflect a garment you would find buried at the back of a closet, like a collectors gown you have been searching for.

Secret Gardens:

This series was inspired by the film Secret Gardens. We wanted the dresses to feel angelic, light, and something you would wear frolicking through an English garden. We wanted the pieces to not only be comfortable but fun to wear, but we wanted to really focus on lace elements on each garment with delicate and understated ruffles.
