Ivory Sheep is officially in British Vogue! We still can’t believe it's real!
When the issues arrived, we just stared at the page for a minute, trying to take in the fact that our tiny Canadian brand, the one that started from nothing but a dream in 2020, was now printed in one of the most iconic fashion magazines in the world. It felt surreal, in a quiet, almost funny way, as big moments sometimes do. You wait and dream and hope, and then suddenly… There it is.
For anyone who’s been with us since the early days, you know Ivory Sheep didn’t begin as a design house. We started small, curating whimsical pieces we loved from brands we loved. Brands like Selkie, Sister Jane, LoveShackFancy, and so many more. All while slowly building a community that gravitated toward individuality, fairytale moments, and a little bit of escapism. But deep down, we always knew we wanted to create our own collections, pieces that felt alive, like they had their own stories.
In 2023, we finally jumped. No perfect timing, no big team, just a belief that we could make something meaningful. Since then, every dress, skirt, cape, and grand bow has been shaped by our hands, our mistakes, our late nights, and all the “is this crazy?” conversations that come with building something from scratch.

From a Small Canadian Brand to British Vogue
What’s made this journey special isn’t just the growth, it’s the moments in between. Seeing every one of you wear our pieces to weddings, baby showers, photo shoots, and even just on slow, ordinary days. That alone felt like the kind of dream you don’t take lightly.
And then one morning in March, we opened our inbox and saw an email from British Vogue. At first, we honestly thought it was a scam. We read it three times before it sank in: they had found our little brand and wanted to feature us. They even asked for multiple issues.
We sent photos, told them our story, and tried to articulate what it means to build a slow-fashion, size-inclusive brand with heart. Now seeing our designs in print… It’s something we’ll be replaying for a long time.

What This Means for Ethical, Size-Inclusive Fashion
Being recognized by a publication as influential as British Vogue matters. Not just for us, but for every independent label trying to create pieces with intention. It proves there is room for slow fashion in mainstream spaces. Room for extended sizing. Room for romantic, fairytale-inspired designs that don't care about rules or what's trendy.
