About Mackenzie, Co-Founder of Ivory Sheep

Ivory Sheep began as a dream when Mackenzie was just 18. Growing up in a creative household and constantly immersed in the fashion industry, she knew this was a world she wanted to be a part of. Inspired by visionaries like Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood, and Betsey Johnson, she saw fashion as a rebellious art form—one that belonged to the misfits, the dreamers, and those who use style as their voice.

Fresh out of high school, Mackenzie landed an internship as a fashion writer for an online blog, which gave her the opportunity to attend Toronto Fashion Week. She imagined it would be a place of radical self-expression, where fashion lovers from all walks of life would come together. Instead, she found an exclusive, cliquey atmosphere that left her heartbroken. It didn’t feel like home. That moment sparked a realization—she wanted to create a space where people like her did belong. A place where fashion was about community, artistry, and celebrating individuality.

Originally, she envisioned a boutique called Black Sheep—a one-stop shop for the bold and unconventional, where like-minded creatives could gather and connect. Fast forward to 2020, and that dream became a reality.

Now, in 2025, Ivory Sheep has evolved into something even greater: an online fashion house where Mackenzie designs and produces her own collections. But the mission has never changed. Ivory Sheep is for those who refuse to conform. It’s for the ones who have always felt like the black sheep.

With this vision, size inclusivity became a cornerstone of the brand. In an industry where extended sizing is still an afterthought, Mackenzie made it her mission to create high-quality, ethical pieces in sizes XXS–7X. Because fashion should be accessible to everyone.

At Ivory Sheep, fashion isn’t just clothing—it’s self-expression, creativity, and belonging. This is more than a brand. It’s a movement. It’s a home for the dreamers, the artists, and the ones who were told they didn’t fit in.

Welcome to the flock.
