WHERE TO START?

I grew up and to this day am a huge video game fan. I spent a lot of my childhood and teenage years watching sci-fi and gaming. Mackenzie and I met when we were just 16 and have been together since. When we met, and up until 3 years ago I didn’t know much about the world of fashion or style. I typically spent my time with my friends and loved driving around.

I wanted a career in various industries. After Highschool I attended college for (it’s a long list): business, art, computer animation, paramedic, computer programing, software development, and cyber security. Each time I dropped out because it just wasn’t what I wanted and wouldn’t lead me to where I saw myself. The funny thing is I didn’t know where I saw myself, but each didn’t feel right.

I TOO AM A COLLEGE DROP OUT- (LIKE 10 TIMES OVER…) 

But I knew I wanted something bigger, and meaningful but I didn’t know what it was. I knew early on that I wanted to be my own boss but when it came to being my own boss of what, I was just lost.

 About 3 years ago I had a mid life crisis (more like less than a quarter life crisis) and my entire world shifted. In the midst of this crisis, I found Mackenzie introducing me to parts of the world I never entertained. I was suddenly looking for a new identity and somehow Mackenzie saw me for what I wanted to be and helped me get there.

It all started with fashion. She knew brands like it was her life purpose, and scanned her brain and knew immediately what brand I would resonate with. We started with a trip to Holts, and formal introductions to All Saints, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, and Gucci. And just like that I was home. 

I suddenly felt a drive to start my own business, but didn’t know where to start. I saw what Mackenzie did for me, and I knew that her dream was going to be something that others needed. That’s when I decided I wanted to be apart of her dream.

Since then, I’ve found a way to blend my worlds of being my own boss and love for tech with the world of fashion that we now live in. There is way more to running a business than I ever planned for but every day is a unique challenge that just keeps it fun and interesting.

It’s honestly the best and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. Not only do I get to have the freedom in the workplace but I get to go to work with my significant other and best friend everyday and that’s something I don’t think a lot of people can say. I couldn’t be happier!

We both have a drive and a mission and that is to make Ivory Sheep a global player in the fashion world and make all the black sheep of the world, including ourselves to feel at home. Where age, size and gender doesn't exist. It's a place where we want you to feel your most powerful, fearless, and confident self.
